Used Norton COMMANDO for sale in Leicester

1972 Norton Commando 750cc in Roadster trim. This bike was cosmetically restored by the previous owner and I have rebuilt the engine, gearbox and primary drive. The bottom end h main bearings, big end shells (standard size!) big end bolts and nuts plus crank cheek fittings. New timing chain plus rubber faced tensioner blade and all the modifications required to allow the 1972 'Combat' breather system to work properly. The top end h piston rings in unworn plus 20 thou cylinder bores. The valves, guides, springs and seals are all new. The primary case contains a new high ouput alternator and rotor, Surflex clutch plates and new clutch sealls to keep the oil out of the clutch. The clutch has a lovely light action and is set up properly so it does not slip or drag and you can even select neutral at a standstill. The gearbox h bearing, a new kickstart shaft, and many new selector parts so that it changes gear nicely, and is quiet too.The ignition is a new Boyer-Bransden digital system with twin output coil. The battery and rectifier/regulator are recent replacements too. The carburettors are almost new Wassell Evolution concentrics. The tyres are Avon Roadrunners and less than 1000 miles old. The result of the above work is a bike that runs and rides as a good 750 Commando should. It is of course right foot gearchange and kickstart only as a proper classic bike should be.
This is NOT an import, a genuine UK Norton.

Red Metallic, 750 cc, 1972 K Reg, 42,065 miles, Centre Stand, £7,995.00.

All of our quality motorcycles are individually sourced and are HPI clear. Multipoint checks are carried out before handover to our valued customers. Nationwide delivery is available, securing deposits can be taken over the phone.
